Will Sonheim is a Chicago-based artist with practices in film, theatre, and visual art. With a background in improv, clown, and screenwriting; Will’s work includes POST (a TV pilot about post-production), a clowned adaption of Machiavelli’s The Prince, a short film about the absurd quest for transcendence, a visual album, and boatloads of ephemeral improv and performance art pieces.

As a performer, Will has worked at the Steppenwolf Lookout Series, iO, The Annoyance, UCB, Theatre Wit, Impro in London, a Loaded Potato Bowl KFC commercial, and Chicago APB on FOX. His writing has appeared at multiple WRITE CLUB bouts, WBEZ’s Mortified show, The Neo-Futurists, and the Potluck Variety Hour for which he was also a co-creator and producer. Previously, Will worked on the Showtime series WORK IN PROGRESS and managed the design and promotion of films like GIVE ME LIBERTY and EMA for Music Box Films.

Will currently works as a filmmaking lecturer at Northwestern University’s Medill Graduate Journalism program and teaches DIY Filmmaking at Lillstreet Art Center.
